Section 504

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is a national law that protects qualified individuals from discrimination based on their disability. The nondiscrimination requirements of the law apply to employers and organizations that receive financial assistance from any Federal department or agency, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). These organizations and employers include many hospitals, nursing homes, mental health centers and human service programs. Click this link for more details.

School Choice

We are a participating district in the ā€œSchool Choiceā€ law of the State of Arkansas. Parents from other districts wishing to apply for their child to attend a Springdale school must submit their application to our Business Office  (click for map) by May 1.

Student Transfers

Springdale Public Schools abides by School Choice legislation for students who want to come into or leave the district. This can only be done at the beginning of the academic year.
