Fun things are happening in Westwood's Curiosity Corner! February is heart month. Students used a stethoscope to listen to their hearts. They are able to use kinetic sand to create as well as magna-tiles on the wall. As well as looking at a model heart to see how the heart works.
There is a free lacrosse clinic this Saturday from 9-10am at the Springdale youth center- all students grade 1-5 invited!
We still have free food available. We're here until 4:15 pm.
Yesterday, our Westwood Wolves celebrated 100 days of learning and growing!!
Just a reminder- tomorrow is a normal school day! Originally, students were out of school tomorrow, but we are having school to get back some learning time from the snow days. We are excited to see our Wolves tomorrow!

"Snow" much learning in the Curiosity Corner in January at Westwood. Our wolves are engaged, problem solving, working together, and helping others during this time each week.
Good afternoon- we learned today that we will be using Feb. 2nd and 19th as regular school days (they were supposed to be teacher learning days) since we have missed so much this winter. We look forward to having our Wolves here those two days!

Weather finally calmed down enough for the Silent Auction winners to stay after school yesterday. Cooking with Jen winners stayed and made S'mores bars and buttermilk pancakes from scratch.
Westood's halls have become a winter wonderland!
Today, we celebrated students who have exited the ESL program! These students have shown proficiency in English and academic success. We are very proud of our Wolves!
