Shaw EAST Conference

Each spring, more than 3,500 students, teachers, parents, and community and business leaders attend EAST's largest event of the year, the national EAST Conference. This multi-day event is an opportunity for students to showcase projects that make a difference in their communities, network with peers and industry professionals, and experience a professional conference. EAST Conference is designed to empower students, celebrate accomplishments, foster connections, and expand the EAST network.

At the conference, 150 Difference Makers are awarded each year. They look for students who go out of their way to make connections and help others. Our very own Meredith Little was recognized as a Difference Maker this year.

Asher Copeland was awarded Student Champion. He was recognized for embodying the 4 principles that EAST is built on… technology driven, student led, service based, and collaboration.

The Shaw EAST program is facilitated by Mrs. Jenna Donnell, with help from our G.T. teacher, Mrs. Lisa Stark. They keep students on track with their projects and do everything possible to help each student reach their goals and complete their projects.

Congratulations to all our EAST students. We are proud of you!
