
It’s time for our annual SHARE THE LOVE food drive! For the next 2 weeks, we will be collecting 16 oz jars of peanut butter and any variety of canned vegetables. The hallway that brings in the most by Nov. 22nd will win a hot chocolate party! 🎙Staff Spotlight- Instructional Assistant
Meet Kenda Haskins! Mrs. Haskins is a Springdale native and has lived here all her life. She attended Tyson elementary, SWJH, and graduated from SHS. She attended Harding University. She is married to Darren and has five children: Grant (26), Madison (23), Mckinly (17), Payton (13), and Taylor (11). She raised her children, while working from home as a medical transcriptionist, then came to work at Shaw. She has also served at Don Tyson SOI as a secretary, Hellstern as a library assistant, and is “now back ‘home’ with my Shaw family working as an instructional asst which I enjoy so much!”


🎙Staff Spotlight- Occupational Therapy
Meet Gretchen Garrison! Mrs. Garrison was born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She completed her undergraduate work and then attended Occupational Therapy school there. She has had the opportunity to work in several school districts in east Arkansas, at the Elizabeth Richardson Child Development Center in Springdale, and now for the Springdale School District. She says, “I love all of my kiddos that I have the privilege of serving across the district, and am blessed to work with amazing teachers, staff, and administrators.” She is married to Kevin and has twin 16 year old boys, Janson and Carson, and a 13 year old daughter, Grayson, who all attended Shaw for their elementary experience. When not working, she loves spending time with family and friends, attending her kids’ activities, traveling, hanging out at home, reading, and just enjoying life!


Hat Day Tomorrow! Bring $1 and wear a hat. All profits will go towards supporting our Shaw students who are participating in Special Olympics!


Change of plans. Tomorrow will be the club day and STARBURST will be on October 22nd. Notes will go home on Thursday. No school on Friday and Monday.
